CUES Advanced Management Program
The CUES Advanced Management Program allows emerging leaders to accelerate their careers and get to the next level!
This program positions the learner for future success by allowing them to gain deep insights into the C-suite to better understand what their challenges are and how they think.
Under the guidance of 11 Cornell University faculty members, participants will deepen their knowledge of what it takes to be a successful executive. Over the course of 9 MONTHS, 8 COURSES, and 8 LIVE-TAUGHT ONLINE SESSIONS, you will cover a curriculum grounded in research with fresh perspectives and insights from outside the industry. Business Professional Development Program (BPDP)
The Business Professional Development Program is a premier certificate program for employees who deliver services to member business owners across the credit union system. The program’s design accommodates employees at all levels of experience and tenure regardless of role including partners from: cash management, credit risk and underwriting. There are 21 sessions in the BPDP program that take place throughout the year. Sessions cover topics that have been identified by credit union leaders as learning opportunities. Those who complete all 21 sessions, and submit the three knowledge assessments, will be awarded a certificate of completion. The BPDP program opens in February and ends in November each year. Indigenous Awareness Certification
Reconciliation Education Indigenous Awareness provides foundational awareness and learning about truth and reconciliation. The course is designed to promote a renewed relationship between Indigenous Peoples and Canadians through transformative and engaging learning. In collaboration with First Nations University of Canada, this course features internationally acclaimed reconciliation films and content from across 10 provinces. This training has been vetted by Indigenous Leads and Diversity and Inclusion teams in Universities, Colleges, school divisions across the province as well as the financial sector. Financial Literacy Trainer EOTO Certification
The Each One, Teach One (EOTO) program, trains employees of Canadian credit unions to deliver financial education workshops in their communities. Workshops are delivered in plain language without any ties to products or services, with the sole goal of empowering Canadians to take control of their financial decisions, goals and plans. Certificate in Applied Leadership
The Certificate in Applied Leadership offers a blueprint to increase leadership effectiveness and impact. Courses can be taken in any order and are appropriate for leaders with all levels of experience. Digital badges of achievement are awarded for each course, with an additional certificate badge for the Leadership Series (eLEAD, eCOACH, eLeaderHUB, and at least one eFOCUS course). Certified Executor Advisor Designation Program
The Certified Executor Advisor (CEA) curriculum has been designed to provide professionals of various disciplines with the skills necessary to assist Canadians in the delegation and undertakings of the role of executor (“executrix” if female, and also referred to as “estate trustee”, “personal representative” or “liquidator”, depending on jurisdiction).
Upon completion of the program, the candidate will be versed in: the duties of an executor, the management and liquidation of property and other types of assets, financial issues, pertinent tax matters, and have a practical knowledge of trusts and the challenges of estate administration, while understanding the economic opportunities of the CEA designation. The full on-line curriculum consists of 7 modules, followed by a comprehensive one hour examination. Upon completion of all modules and a successful examination (passing grade of 70%), the candidate will be awarded the CEA designation by the Canadian Institute of Certified Executor Advisors (CICEA) (www.cicea.ca). a) Certified Information Privacy Professional in Canada (CIPP/C) Training
Distinguish yourself in the Canadian privacy field with a Certified Information Privacy Professional/ Canada (CIPP/C) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). When you earn your CIPP/C, you’re demonstrating that you have a foundational understanding of broad global concepts of privacy and data protection; as well as a particular appreciation of Canadian information privacy laws, principles and best practices at the federal, provincial and territorial levels.
