Credit unions contribute to their communities’ economic, social, and environmental well-being.
CCUA supports credit unions in this important work by:
- Aligning credit union economic, social, and environmental initiatives with public policy priorities (e.g., sustainable finance, affordable housing, youth entrepreneurship);
- Promoting awareness of credit unions’ role in improving affordability for Canadians; and,
- Developing leadership in financial literacy with governments, not-for-profits, industry, and the public.
Community Impact Committee
CCUA’s community impact work is led by the Credit Union Community Impact Committee which examines social purpose initiatives to proactively pursue strategies that benefit Canada’s credit union sector.
