2025 Regulatory Compliance Achievements

In 2025, CCUA continued to advance social purpose across the Canadian credit union sector, recognizing that credit unions are at different stages of their journeys. This approach is to help support the rebranding from 'ESG' to 'social purpose'. Key areas of focus include climate and sustainable development, affordable housing, indigenous reconciliation, and financial literacy. CCUA advanced these areas through three main streams: (i) advocacy & thought leadership, (ii) awareness, education & sector engagement, and (iii) collaboration and partnerships.
