CUBOS Integrates with CCUA: Great opportunity for collaboration

Published Date: Dec 8, 2017

The Credit Union Business Owner Strategy (CUBOS) is a collaboration of more than fifty credit unions that share an interest in supporting the growth and development the business owner market. This group of credit unions represents more than $120 billion in credit union assets and have collectively identified the business owner market as an attractive growth priority for their credit unions. CUBOS supports its member credit unions with business owner research, insights, tools and resources.

CUBOS and CCUA share mutual interests in supporting the success of Canadian credit unions. The two organizations also share an interest in ensuring that the national credit union system is efficient and effective. To that end, the two organizations have agreed to integrate CUBOS into CCUA in 2018.

With a mandate to focus solely on the business owner market segment, integrating CUBOS with CCUA will allow for great visibility and insights into what these business owners need from their credit unions. This integration will also reduce the potential for duplication in the system, streamline communications and raise levels of awareness of the support that is available.

The CUBOS Steering Committee will continue to guide its activities, and the Program Manager, Kim Andres, will continue her efforts in managing the work that comes out of the Committee and system. Key Committee activities and communications will be supported through CCUA, and the CUBOS website will be migrated into the CCUA website as well.

The key benefit of the integration is to enhance CCUA’s business banking knowledge, increase collaboration on business owner research plans, and have input on conference and education agendas.
