New Accreditation for Sales Professionals Available: Accredited Canadian Credit Union Sales Professional

Published Date: May 1, 2024

The Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA) through The Credit Union Institute of Canada (CUIC) are pleased to announce the launch of a new credit union sales training credential. The Accredited Canadian Credit Union Sales Professional Program (ACCUSP) is designed to empower those who are responsible for building relationships and providing exceptional sales and service to credit union members. Learners who have successfully completed the required training, have proven their proficiency in communication, sales, and relationship building with knowledge assessments, and validated knowledge transfer through rigorous course examinations will be granted the ACCUSP status by CUIC. This certification offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical expertise, ensuring participants are well-equipped to meet the challenges of today’s credit union environment.

The CUIC programs are meticulously crafted by credit union subject matter experts and incorporate courses examined by our academic partner, Dalhousie University, a trusted leader in higher education. These programs are valued by credit unions across the country because they have proven effective at delivering on the unique skill development needs of our members.

We’re pleased to acknowledge that the Atlantic Central League Savings and Mortgage (ACLSM) CUMaster program has been pre-approved to provide the sales training credit for the new ACCUSP credential. The CUMaster program focuses on value & advice, results & trends, member retention, engagement, and growth. This makes it the perfect training solution for inclusion in this program. Here’s what Atlantic Central and League Savings and Mortgage’s very own Jeanette Wakelin to say about the benefits of the CUMaster Program:

The CUMaster program provides Atlantic credit unions the opportunity to deepen their understanding of how we live our brand values of honesty, trust and fairness with members. The program supports all participants in delivering solutions that meet members’ financial goals and unmet needs. Aligning it in a credential that formally recognizes the learner’s achievements is a win-win.
