On Monday August 15, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau triggered a federal election in the hopes of attaining a majority government. With a 36-day campaign, election day is Monday, September 20.  The parties in this election are charting their vision for a post-COVID world. Key issues at play are the deficit, housing affordability, small business recovery and the financial well-being of Canadians.

Throughout the campaign, CCUA will be closely tracking the election to provide credit union-specific analysis of the campaigns and policy announcements. In addition, we have a customizable letter to introduce your local candidates to your credit union, you can send the letter here.
