Meet Jennifer Reyes: A look at her accreditation journey
Stephanie Mason, Learning Programs Coordinator, CCUA In addition to celebrating all CUIC graduates, CCUA Education extends our sincere congratulations
An accreditation serves as recognition that your skills meet a high level of quality and the standards that member's expect when placing their trust in their financial institution. As lenders play a critical role in the financial success of both the member and the credit union, the Consumer and Residential Mortgage Lender Accreditation certainly solidifies that quality and those standards.
This 7-course program was developed in conjunction with the Credit Union National Lenders Committee and is accredited by Dalhousie University and is a cornerstone for a career in consumer lending. It provides foundational technical skills, then, through the case-based courses, gives lenders an opportunity to enhance both their underwriting and relationship-building skills.
Upon completion of this program, learners will receive a digital credential marking their achievement as an “Accredited Consumer & Residential Mortgage Lender”, a nationally recognized accreditation which is awarded jointly by The Credit Union Institute of Canada (CUIC) Inc. and Dalhousie University.
Did you know that 44% of learners who have completed the CUIC 210 Consumer and Residential Mortgage Lending course have completed it to achieve their accreditation? It's the perfect first step towards accrediation.
When asked how CUIC 210 has helped them in their role as a consumer lender, a recent learner shared:
Through the weekly questions quizzes and discussion, it helped me understand the terms and concepts in real time. Having others in the course and reading their responses helped to connect the dots.
