Credit unions are deeply entrenched in their communities. Revelstoke Credit Union is getting ready for its annual Family Fun Run and Road Race which will take place on Sunday May 5th. This free event will feature a 10 km race which will have racers travel around the Green Belt and a lap of Arrow Heights. For those looking for an easier trail the credit union will also be hosting a easier two km family fun run. Along with the race, this family friendly event will feature activities hosted by Trees for Tots and the Axe Throwing mobile unit.

The races will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Queen Elizabeth Park. According to a press release from the Revelstoke Credit Union, the road race will travel routes around the Greenbelt and a lap of Arrow Heights for the 10 km trek. The two km family fun run will go around Queen Elizabeth Park twice.
There is no entry fee for the event and it will will feature activities hosted by Trees for Tots and the Peak Axe Throwing mobile unit. Music will be provided by Stoke FM.
For those feeling competitive, they will be happy to learn there are cash prizes for the top finishers.
For the 10 km race, each winner in six different categories will be awarded $100, and for the five km race, each winner in eight different categories will receive $50.
In the two km race for boys and girls, under the age of ten, there will be two cash prizes of $25.
