Just a few days after being sworn-in as Premier of PEI after winning the PC leadership race, Premier Lantz announced a cabinet shuffle and some changes to key departments. Lantz renamed some portfolios, including making Gilles Arsenault the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Artificial Intelligence, while Jill Burridge is now the Minister of Finance and Affordability. MLA Sidney MacEwen, who was Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, joins cabinet for the first time as Minister of Housing and Communities and Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy.
