Make your journey towards becoming an Accredited Canadian Credit Union Director easier with a cohort

Published Date: Oct 27, 2026

Are you a CUDA graduate who is involved in your community and want to have the credibility of an accreditation to support you? The Accredited Canadian Credit Union Director (ACCUD) designation is a great way to leverage your experience and recognize your expertise. This designation is jointly awarded by the Credit Union Institute of Canada (CUIC) and Dalhousie University.

Until now, the ACCUD program has been offered as a self-study course, with the final exam accounting for 100% of your grade. However, if it’s been a few years since you completed the CUDA program, jumping straight into an exam can feel like a big step.

To help mitigate this, CCUA has launched the ACCUD cohort, a great opportunity for CUDA graduates that consists of:

  • Live webinars covering:
    • CUDA cohort outline and orientation
    • CUDA Level A, B, and core C course material review
  • A participant forum where you can connect with directors can connect across the country and learn from one another
  • Two assignments that will help you to demonstrate your learning and expertise
  • A final exam worth 50% of your grade instead of 100%, as is in the self-study

CUIC cohorts on an employee level have been shown to lead to a more positive, impactful learning experience, often resulting in grades 10% higher on average. We're excited to offer the same opportunity to Canadian credit union board members.

Registration is now open for the 2027 spring session of the ACCUD cohort! To learn more about the course, click here.
