Credit unions care about their communities and protecting the world we live in. As part of their ongoing commitment to support the health and betterment of the Kingston community, in February donated $5,000 to the Kingston Community Action Fund to support local climate action projects.
“Kingston Community Credit Union has a long-standing commitment to the health and betterment of our community. Climate Change is our biggest emerging risk and we are proud to partner with the Kingston Community Climate Action Fund for a third year to support these worthy initiatives through this donation,” said Jon Dessau, President & CEO of Kingston Community Credit Union.
These funds will go towards financing three local projects with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions:
- Frontenac Club Day Care Integration Programme
- Ongwanada
- Sustainable Kingston
