June is National Indigenous History Month – Gain Awareness and Education

Published Date: Jun 10, 2023

CCUA would like to acknowledge that June is National Indigenous History Month! Although recognition of Indigenous history in Canada extends beyond one month and into each month throughout the year, we’d like to take a moment to appreciate all Inuit, Métis, and First Nations across Canada and their rich, diverse histories.

We further encourage all our members to take steps towards building a greater understanding of Indigenous communities across the coasts by registering for the following courses:

Reconciliation Education Indigenous Awareness Professional Development: This course is designed to promote a renewed relationship between Indigenous Peoples and Canadians through transformative and engaging learning. (CCUA Campus account required)

Skillsoft Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Series: A collection of courses centered around DEI in the workplace. (Skillsoft license required)

For further information, we encourage all members to visit and explore our reconciliation page!

Join us in promoting the beauty and resilience of the Indigenous Peoples of Canada, by tagging CCUA’s social channels (TwitterFacebookLinkedIn & Instagram) in any of your National Indigenous History Month posts so we can amplify your messaging across our platforms.
