Following a unanimous member vote this week, Health Care Credit Union announced its intention to join with Windsor-based WFCU Credit Union. The merger will see HCCU staff retain their employment and serve as WFCU employees going forward.
Once the asset purchase is finalized, HCCU will operate under the name Healthcare – A Division of WFCU Credit Union. Following the merger, the credit union will support a combined member network of 13 retail locations across Southwestern Ontario - including nine in Windsor-Essex, three in Kitchener/Waterloo Region, and one in London. This expansion into London will allow the credit union to create a new, dedicated division for healthcare professionals, workers, and support staff. It will also reinforce HCCU’s remarkable history of serving the needs of its healthcare members and community is maintained.
