The Manitoba government is providing funding to nine local businesses through the Innovation Growth Program (IGP) to support product innovation and economic growth, Business, Mining, Trade and Job Creation Minister Jamie Moses announced last week.
Over the next five years, the companies are forecasting the addition of over 100 new full-time jobs to Manitoba’s economy and $36.1 million in export sales, contributing to the government’s commitment to grow the economy with good Manitoba jobs for Manitobans, the Minister noted.
The IGP provides cost-shared grants of up to $100,000 to eligible Manitoba small and medium-sized enterprises to assist with the commercialization of innovative products or processes and accelerate growth.
Deadline for the next intake of the Innovation Growth Program is June 30.
