This can then lead to advanced standing or credits in academic programs offered through The Credit Union Institute of Canada (CUIC)!

Each Learner's Path is Unique

RPL is instrumental in promoting inclusivity and diversity within your organization. Recognizing learning that has taken place through various experiences can level the playing field by providing opportunities for those who may have taken a different path and/or have diverse backgrounds, but have gathered the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their role. This is particularly important for adult learners who have amassed substantial work experience and wish to be recognized for these qualifications. CCUA’s RPL structure remains a dynamic and essential process that adapts to the changing landscape of learning and accreditation.

Your Degree + CUIC 201 Might Equal a New FCUIC Designation! 

CCUA partners with Dalhousie University and aligns with their academic RPL standards. Learners who have completed a business degree from any recognized university or post-secondary school can submit their transcripts for advanced standing in the CUIC General Business Studies program. Once accepted for credit, the learner only needs to complete a single course, CUIC 201, and have two years of credit union experience to be awarded the Fellow of the Credit Union Institute (FCUIC) designation by CUIC and Dalhousie University.
