Congratulations 2024 CUDA Graduates!
CCUA would like to extend it's congratulations to all those who have earned their CUDA graduate status or have become an Accredited Canadian Credit Union
Continuing Education (CE) credits play a critical role in building and maintaining your skills. Earning CE credits reinforces your commitment to ongoing professional development while learning activities expose you to new trends, research, and current best practices. In fact, studies indicate that ongoing professional development not only helps your board stay on top of industry changes but also prepares them for what’s ahead. This means it’s more important than ever for your board to continually build, maintain, and refine their skills.
If you’re a credit union board director who holds a CUDA Graduate or Accreditation status, it is time to ensure your CE credits are up to date for the 2024 calendar year. CUDA Graduates require 6 CE credits per year to maintain their graduate status, while Accredited Canadian Credit Union Directors (ACCUDs) require 12 CE credits per year. Governance-focused activities throughout the year that earn directors CE credits, include:
A minimum of 50% of a director’s annual CE credits must be achieved through credit union-focused/specific training, events, or activities. Complete your annual CE credit attestation on CCUA Campus here. You’ll know the survey is complete when you see this page:

As a reminder, graduates and ACCUDs are exempt from the CE maintenance requirement for the calendar year of their status achievement. If you’ve achieved CUDA Graduate or ACCUD status in 2024, there is no need to attest to your credits until the end of 2025.
If you’re looking to get a head start on your 2025 Level CE requirements, consider registering for CCUA’s 2025 National Conference for Canadian Credit Unions, taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia from May 11 – 14, 2025. Registration is now open, so purchase your ticket here. Directors can also plan to attend training ahead of the conference. More details coming soon.
