Prime Minister Mark Carney and Premier Scott Moe have been exploring measures to support farmers impacted by China’s additional 75.8% duty on canola seed. China is one of Canada’s major export markets for canola producers. Federal and provincial trade and agriculture ministers have met with canola industry stakeholders to map a way forward.
