At this time, CDF Canada continues to accept applications for its flagship Women’s Mentorship Program, offering you the chance to shape the future of female leaders in the credit union sector by becoming a host.

The Women's Mentorship Program

The Women's Mentorship Program serves as a beacon of empowerment for female credit union managers globally. Through a transformative 10-day experience, hosts and participants alike will have the opportunity to contribute to a global network of cooperative professionals dedicated to propelling women's leadership and working to advance financial inclusion. As a mentor, your wealth of experience in the Canadian Credit Union sector will not only shape the trajectory of your mentee’s career but will also foster a reciprocal learning environment. Gain insights into diverse co-operative contexts and cultures, broadening your perspective and enhancing your leadership acumen.

What’s involved?

As a host, you'll commit to a 10-day placement between June 6 and June 15, 2024, during which you'll welcome one of our participants from Malawi, Kenya, or Ghana into both your Credit Union and your home. Hosting participants in this manner has consistently proven to be a unique and enriching experience for all involved.

By participating as a host, you will:

• Make a Lasting Impact: Share your wealth of knowledge and experience to guide aspiring female professionals through their journey in the credit union sector.
• Cultivate Diversity and Inclusion: Contribute to building a more diverse and inclusive financial landscape by actively supporting the development of women in the industry.
• Expand Your Network: Connect with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and build valuable relationships that extend beyond the 10-day placement.
• Enhance Leadership Skills: Mentorship is a two-way street. Strengthen your leadership abilities by honing your coaching and communication skills through this enriching experience.
