CCUA responds to Bill 119, Schedule 7 and Schedule 9 Consultations

CCUA has responded to Schedule 7 of Bill 119, the Proposed Protecting Ontario’s Streets and Communities Act, 2026. The government was seeking feedback on proposed legislative changes to the Planning Act under the Protecting Ontario’s Streets and Communities Act, 2026, that would enable municipalities to use an administrative monetary penalty (AMP) system for zoning by-law contraventions that relate to land uses that are not permitted. CCUA has also responded to Schedule 9 of Bill 119. CCUA is pleased to continue supporting the goals and overall objectives of the proposed amendments to the Prevention of and Remedies for Human Trafficking Act, 2017. Please find our response here.
