Affinity Credit Union funds STEAM lab for new St. Frances Cree Bilingual School

Credit unions care about their communities. Affinity Credit Union recently donated $250,000 to support the construction of an all-new STEAM lab (science, technology, arts, and mathematics) at St. Frances Cree Bilingual School. The STEAM lab will focus on integrating western knowledge and scientific techniques along with the indigenous ways of knowing and doing. The incorporation of hands-on experiential learning will help students deepen their curiosity and creativity in culturally relevant ways that will inspire students to pursue careers in the areas of science and mathematics.
