On October 16, the Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA) will join credit unions across the globe in celebrating the 77th annual International Credit Union Day®, a day dedicated to recognizing the lasting impact and achievements of the credit union movement.
Since 1948, International Credit Union (ICU) Day has been observed on the third Thursday of October, offering a moment each year to reflect on the history, values, and contributions of credit unions worldwide. It’s a time to both honour the movement’s proud past and promote its continued role in delivering ethical, member-first financial services.
Award-winning Customer Service
Personalized service has always been a hallmark of Canada’s credit unions — and it continues to set them apart. Once again in 2025, Canada’s credit unions earned the top honour for Customer Service at the IPSOS Financial Service Excellence Awards, marking an impressive 21st consecutive win.
This ongoing recognition underscores the dedication to outstanding member experiences and the consistent, people-centered approach that defines the credit union difference.
