CCUA participated in the Department of Finance’s Pre-Budget Consultation, which will influence the 2023 budget expected in early spring. Our full submission can be found here.  The main recommendation is focused on updating the over 50 year old definition of a credit union in the Income Tax Act. Other items address the importance of credit unions in the federal sphere and several regulatory amendments to the Bank Act.
