Congratulations to Your Neighbourhood Credit Union for winning the 2021 National Credit Union Best of Marketing Award for their “Shop Your Neighbourhood” Project. The credit union was announced as the winner during the 2021 Marketing Forum and AIME Awards, after receiving the overall highest scoring AIME Award. YNCU received the Excellence in Digital Marketing award from the AIME program.
The Shop Your Neighbourhood project was initiated last year as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. To help with the strain of potential revenue loss faced by many small businesses, YNCU created the Shop Your Neighbourhood initiative as a way to offer support during the lockdowns. YNCU developed an online platform for local businesses to use free of charge and set-up a virtual storefront lieu of in-person shopping. Aside from providing much needed revenue support, the platform also offers individuals the ability to discover new businesses in their region.
