Day 1 — A Feminist Economic Recovery Plan for Canada: Making the Economy Work for Everyone
Tuesday, October 27 (12:00 pm – 1:00 pm ET)
In this session, YWCA Canada will highlight the disproportionate impact COVID-19 has had on women, Two-Spirit and gender diverse people. The economic freefall has led to declines in women’s labour market participation not seen since the 1980s. All hope is not lost. There is a better way forward. That’s why YWCA Canada in partnership with the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto came together to create Canada’s Feminist Economic Recovery Plan, the first nationally-focused one in the world. Tune in to learn about this 8-point plan that provides a blueprint for Canada’s post-COVID-19 recovery so that the economy works for everyone. The speaker of this session is Maya Roy, CEO of YWCA Canada, the nation’s largest and oldest gender equity organization.
Day 2 — Return to Work: Everything You Need to Know
Tuesday, November 3 (12:00 pm – 1:00 pm ET)
As employees begin to return to work, there are several employee-relations situations which business leaders must be ready to navigate. Throughout this 60-minute session, Chen Sasson, HR Manager and Jordan Rodney, Founder of Rodney Employment Law will walk through important HR and Legal decisions that will help you manage and mitigate your risk.
You will be equipped with the knowledge to deal with the most pressing issues that may arise from the “new normal” of work. Time will also be given to participants to ask the experts anything! Your top of mind questions, both pre-submitted and live will be addressed in real-time. Topics will include:

Day 3 — Rethinking your Structure and Roles – Keeping your Workforce
Friday, November 6 (12:00 pm – 1:00 pm ET)
COVID 19 has forced us to rethink the structure of our workforces. How do we rethink structure, redefine roles and keep our workforces? This session will look at common concerns, watchpoints and provide helpful direction in this time of confusion and concern.
