Make cybersecurity awareness second nature at your credit union with CCUA’s new webinar series

Published Date: Nov 2, 2026

With cyberattacks evolving rapidly and the upcoming holiday season being so fraught with risk, CCUA has launched a new webinar series dedicated to keeping you, your staff, and your members safe.

"Cybersecurity is Everyone's Business" is a virtual workshop consisting of two 60-minute webinars priced at $249 per learner. In this engaging, interactive workshop, cybersecurity and privacy risk advisor Claudiu Popa takes participants beyond conventional awareness training to explore how everyday decisions, human behaviour, and organizational culture influence security and resilience. By the end of the webinar series, learners will be able to:

  • Recognize their personal responsibility and influence in protecting the credit union, regardless of their role or technical expertise.
  • Understand how privacy, cybersecurity, and organizational trust are interconnected.
  • Recognize emerging threats, deception, and risky behaviours in everyday workplace situations.
  • Exercise sound judgment when handling information, responding to requests, and making security-related decisions.
  • Appreciate why early incident reporting, vigilance, and speaking up are essential, even when something seems insignificant.
  • Understand how individual actions, shared accountability, and a positive security culture strengthen organizational resilience.
