Representatives from CCUA, Conexus Credit Union and Prosperity Credit Union met with Saskatchewan Finance Minister Jim Reiter to discuss key issues affecting the credit union sector.

Topics included updates to The Credit Union Amendment Act, The Saskatchewan Farm Security Act, extra-provincial operations, and consumer-driven banking. The sector representatives also highlighted credit unions’ contribution to the provincial economy and the importance of being included in any future tariff-relief programs for SMEs delivered through financial institutions. The minister welcomed the discussion and indicated his interest in continued engagement with the credit union sector.
