Two Saskatchewan credit unions mark ICU Day with plans to open new branches

Published Date: Oct 15, 2026

In honour of International Credit Union Day, Conexus Credit Union and Weyburn Credit Union announced the opening of new branches in their communities.

Conexus Credit Union

For Conexus, the credit union recently broke ground on building a branch in one of Saskatoon’s fastest-growing neighborhoods, the "Meadows". Located at 80-3005 Meadows Parkway, the full-service branch will offer existing and prospective members with personal and business banking, lending, wealth management services and much more. This will be the fifth branch in the Saskatoon area, and the latest addition is anticipated to welcome members in late 2027.

We thank each and every one of our 200,000 Saskatchewan members on Credit Union Day for their business and trust in Conexus. We are proud to keep growing alongside our Saskatoon membership,” says Conexus Credit Union CEO Celina Philpot. “As more residents and businesses in Saskatoon look to our credit union for their financial needs, we want to ensure that we have the right physical spaces available to work with them.”

Weyburn Credit Union

Weyburn Credit Union is expanding its offerings into Pilot Butte, bringing its member-owned, relationship-based approach to banking and advice to one of Saskatchewan's fastest-growing communities.

The expansion reflects Weyburn Credit Union's commitment to serving strong communities, building meaningful relationships, and helping more people experience the benefits of cooperative banking.

"Pilot Butte is a strong fit for Weyburn Credit Union," said Krista Hubic, Chief Strategy and Solutions Officer. "Its growth, strong sense of community, and appreciation for local, relationship-based financial advice make it a natural fit for our member-owned approach. We see an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, support local families and businesses, and become part of a community with incredible momentum."
