Become a financial literacy trainer for your community with Each One. Teach One.

Published Date: Oct 15, 2026

November is Financial Literacy Awareness Month. The truth is that not everyone has access to the information they need to do everyday banking or to recognize fraud confidently.

But Each One. Teach One. (EOTO) can fix that. Created over fifteen years ago by credit unions for credit unions, EOTO is an award-winning financial literacy program that has helped bridge critical knowledge gaps.

The program sends certified credit union trainers into their community to deliver workshops on basic banking, filing taxes, fraud prevention, and more. Free of product placement or credit union advertising, the program focuses on its core mission of increasing financial literacy among Canadians and building community. The program's core philosophy—literacy before lending—ensures community members have a foundational understanding of their financial obligations, opportunities, and choices.

Right now, the program needs more trainers. CCUA is offering the Each One. Teach One: Train-the-Trainer course so that you can join the ranks of certified Each One. Teach One trainers, fully equipped to give a workshop in your community!

Here’s what a previous participant had to say:

“I LOVED this course! I am an experienced facilitator, and I just love how this course puts everything together—how to be a great facilitator, set expectations and make it a phenomenal experience for the participants. Well done!”

Through an introduction and two half-day guided sessions, learners will build and practice key presentation and facilitation skills, make connections with like-minded professionals across Canada, and gain access to the Skillsoft Precipio library to further hone their learning.

Sessions are open for November 16, 23, and 25 to start your journey and get involved. Register here today!
