Stand Against Scams: Year two campaign launches in September – assets now available

Published Date: Aug 11, 2026

Building on the success of its first year, the Stand Against Scams campaign is returning this September to continue to help Canadians recognize and stay safe from scams. In the first year, the campaign generated more than 69 million impressions and 14 million engaged website visits, demonstrating the impact of a coordinated, national approach to scam prevention.

Launching September 8, Year Two will feature an enhanced digital presence, including a refreshed website, new educational content, earned media and influencer partnerships, and mass awareness through traditional media.

Campaign assets now available – Help us amplify!

CCUA is a founding member of the Canadian Anti-Scam Coalition, and credit union participation is an important part of the campaign. We encourage all members to help amplify the content and messaging. English and French social and digital assets are now available for use in your content planning from September through January. Assets have been co-branded with the Canada's Credit Unions logo to help the sector present a united voice against scams.

This year’s campaign includes evergreen digital displays and monthly themed social content:

  • September: Employment scams
  • October: Cybersecurity Awareness Month
  • November: Online shopping and Black Friday scams
  • December: Holiday scams
  • January: Recovery scams

Please note: These assets are embargoed until September 8. Please do not use or publish them before the campaign launch date, and ensure that monthly themed content is shared during the corresponding month.

To maximize the campaign's reach and impact, we encourage credit unions to:

  • Download and use the campaign materials
  • Incorporate the monthly themes into your social media and content calendars
  • Review the Co-Branding Guidelines for social media guidance and caption examples (pages 14–23)
  • Share campaign messaging across your organizational channels
  • Follow and reshare content from @StandAgainstScamsCA on Instagram
