The Government of Saskatchewan ended the 2025-2026 fiscal year in a deficit of $947 million, a significant shift from the government's initial forecast of a $12 million surplus. While higher oil prices contributed to a slight increase in revenue, increased spending on healthcare and other areas pushed the government into a deficit.
