Credit unions care about their communities. This week Innovation Federal Credit Union made $10,000 donation to Twin Lakes Community School to support the construction of a new playground. This contribution is a testament to Innovation’s dedication to creating positive change and supporting the well-being of Indigenous children and families.

"We are honored to contribute to Twin Lakes Community School,” says Gagné. “This playground will not just be a place for children to play; it represents a space for fun, joy and community. Funding this playground is not just a good thing to do, it’s the right thing to do."

This contribution is a part of the credit union's ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, in which it proudly pledged $1 million over the next 10 years to support Indigenous Peoples through the Indigenous Community Development Fund. This substantial investment aims to foster growth, development, and opportunity within Indigenous communities.

The Indigenous Community Development Fund will continue to provide essential resources and support to various projects and initiatives that benefit Indigenous communities throughout the region.
