New Brunswick's election campaign is officially underway. New Brunswickers will head to the polls on October 21st.  

Blaine Higgs is aiming for a 3rd term as premier, something that has not happened since Frank McKenna in 1995. However, all of the polling suggests a very close race between the Progressive Conservatives and Susan Holt’s Liberals, with David Coon’s Greens remaining in third place.  

No matter the outcome, the composition of the New Brunswick legislature will look different with 13 MLAs not reoffering.  

So far, all 3 major parties (PC, Liberal, and Greens) have been focused on affordability.  

CCUA will continue to analyze the policy promises by all major parties and how they will impact our members. We will continue to engage with CUMA in our advocacy efforts.
