CCUA is always proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our members, and even more happy to boast about them! In this learner spotlight, see the incredible achievements of Cory Jaworski at Steinbach Credit Union, who has just completed the Management Studies Program, earning his title as Associate of the Credit Union Institute of Canada (ACUIC). This accreditation is just the latest in Cory's scholastic achievements, having also previously earned titles as a Fellow of the Credit Union Institute of Canada (FCUIC), and as an Accredited Business Lender (ABL).

Cory's professional development journey began in 2012, where he graduated from Red River College Polytech in Winnipeg with a Major in Financial Services. Since then, Cory has held firm in his belief of "bettering yourself through on-going education, as well as on-the-job experience."

When asked about his specific experiences with CCUA Education, Cory had this to say:

Obtaining my FCUIC and ABL accreditations provided me with the in-depth skill set and confidence needed to excel in the commercial lending landscape. The skills that I have acquired through CCUA courses are used every day in my professional career, whether it’s understanding complex business lending structuring, or providing my members with timely and professional service and advise.

The courses offered in the ACUIC program provided me with a well-rounded understanding the inner workings of the Credit Union system. These understandings ranged from member and employee standpoints, to team-centric ones, giving learners a wide range of knowledge on successful management traits to ensure a seamless member experience.

For Cory, learning is a lifelong process. In fact, despite his array of accolades, even now, Cory isn't planning on slowing down! He is currently embarking on the next phase of his continuing education path, with the Business Professional Development Program (BPDP).
