This week, Celina Philphot was announced as Conexus Credit Union's newest and first-female Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Celina is a seasoned financial services leader, holding over 25 years of experience in the credit union system. Prior to this appointment, she served as Chief Retail and Brand Officer at Steinbach Credit Union where she focused on delivering business results and managing organizational risk through the development of strategies for retail sales, wealth management, member services, corporate programs and marketing. She has held various leadership roles throughout her time at Steinbach Credit Union including: Vice President, Corporate Development; Executive Vice President, Operations; and Executive Vice President, Member Engagement and Brand. Celina takes the reigns from interim CEO Neil Cooper who has led Conexus operations over the last eight months.
